Luca Prodan was born in Rome after his family came back from China. He
went to Gordonstoun School, a private boarding school that is in Scotland and
moved to Manchester and London.
Luca Prodan moved to London in the 1970s and he
worked at EMI. While he was in London, Luca Prodan formed his first music band
called The New Clear Heads and the shared the beauty of the modern day punk
bands like the following groups. XTC,
The
Fall,
Joy
Division
and Wire.
In the year 1981,
after the heroin crisis in London in the later part of the 1970s, Luca Prodan relocated to a farm of an
Anglo-Argentine friend called Timmy McKern, the farm is located in the central
hill of Cordoba region of the country Argentina.
After staying in the
farm, he went on to settle in Hurlingham around Buenos Aires, and that was the
place he found and led the groups called Sumo and Hurlingham Reggae Band.
Luca Prodan died of either a heart attack or cirrhosis of the liver in
Buenos Aires prior to the Christmas of the year 1987.
After his death, Luca Prodan became a prominent man in the rock culture
of the country, Argentina.
