Alberto TetaLando was born in Mbanza Congo, the capital city of Zaire
region of the northern part of the country, Angola. He is not popular outside
the Portuguese speaking countries and even in Portugal itself.
The music he made focused on the identity of the country, the civil war
of the country, the saudades of the exile of the people of the country and also
young love and family. He spoke and sung in both kikongo and the Portuguese
languages. The most known music he made was Irmaoamateuirmao and
Euvouvoltar.
When he was alive, he
managed to unite many music groups in the country.
Alberto TetaLando died in Paris, France after suffering from cancer in
the year 2008.
