Belmiro Hosi was born on the 29th June 1980. He is better known with the stage name, OmPuff. He is an Angolan-Namibian kwaito and hip-hop musician who got popular in the year 2005. He is one of the liveliest musicians in the local scene of Namibia. OmPuff signed to Mshasho Production in the year 2006. He gave himself the nickname, Puffy after his childhood hero Puff Daddy. After doing more and more kwaito music, he became OmPuff, and that made the name more African.

OmPuff is fluent in the following langauges; English, Afrikaans, Oshiwambo and the Portuguese languages.
OmPuff was born in the Namibe City of Angola. He made a move to Namibia in the late 1990s at his early age. He has lived most of his childhood life in katutura, Windhoek. As a teenager, he raps music by the famous American musicians. In the early part of the 2000s, OmPuff discovered and joined an underground hip hop music group called Zero Degrees. He left the group in the year 2003 after he felt discouraged by the lack of support within the local hip hop industry to chase after a solo music career in kwaito.
The first shot of exposure of the youngster was when he became a close associate of the Gazza and his label GMP Records. The pair made a music called Kwaito Party that gained lots of air play and made OmPuff one of the most exposed underground musicians in the country. Gazza later boycotted the music from the radio because of OmPuff’s decision to join the rivals label called Mshasho Records, meanwhile it disclosed through Bluetooth.
After understanding that he was wasting his time with the GMP, OmPuff left the label and reconnected with an old friend called Sunny Boy who got him introduced to the Dogg. The Dogg immediately signed him to the Mshasho records. Celebrating his success¸ OmPuff dropped his debut professional single called, We Taking Over that featured Sunny Boy’s kwaito group YBG, made up of Sunny, Chippo and Richie. OmPuff began to travel with the Dogg and he became his backup musician. He llater was featured on The Dogg’s album in the year 2006; the album was called Introducing TeeDee. He also showed on the Sunny Boy’s album called ElaiLineedunge.
OmPuff dropped his debut album known as Phone Call on under Mshasho Record in December of the year 2007. In the middle part of the year 2008, he performed in Angola to promote his album.
In the year 2009, OmPuff showed on The Dogg’s album called This Is My Time. In the year 2010, he featured on two music by The Dogg from the album he called The Power of 7 – Elevating Elevators. In the year 2011, he dropped a successful single music for his album that would later be released in the year 2011. OmPuff also featured in the in the music called End Of time with Sunny Boy and the Zambian musician called JK for The Dogg’s album known as The Deception.
