Drago Siliqi was born
in the year 1930; he died in the year 1963. He was a poet, literary critic and
a publisher from Albania. He became a scvout when he was 14 and he was also a
partisan of the National Liberation Movement. He printed the first collection
of his poems and he went after his university education at the Maxim Gorky
Literature Institute, which is located in Moscow.

When
he got back to the country, Albania, he was made the editor at the stated owned
publishing house called Naim Frasheri and later he became one of the publishers
and a literary critic at the publishing house. While he was there he encouraged
writers like Ismail Kadare and helped him through his literary reviews; he was
also the man that led the company to the publication of more translation of the
foreign literary works into the language of the country; he did this by
employing affirmed writers Siliqi died in the year 1963 at the age of 33 at the
time of an Aeroflot Tupolev Tu-104B crash near Irkutsk, Soviet Union. The crash
kiklled 32 passengers and crew with about six other Albanians
He published his
first book when he was 15 and then others followed.
