Bekim Beshi was born
in the year 1932 in Dakovika, the kingdom of Yugoslavia. He is a poet, Linguist
and a philologist from Albania. Presently, he is the president of the Academy
of Science and Arts of Kosovo.

Career
His family relocated
to Albania and there he finished his primary school in Dukat, a village that is
near Vore, and after some years he studied in Tirana.
In the year 1945, he
went back to Dakovica and it was there that he studied at the arts faculty at
the University of Belgrade. In the year 1966, he completed his doctorate
studies in Philology in the University of Pristina, and it was there that he
worked as a lecturer since the year 1974. He is a member and the current
president of the Academy of Science and Arts of Kosovo, he was the
vice-president of the organization.
