music of Tajikistan is directly associated to other Central Asian type of
music. The classical music is shasmaqam, which Uzbeks also established
classical music of Tajiks and created their unique own. Southern Tajikistan has
a unique type of traditional music which is known as falak which is played at
festivities during in the wedding, circumcisions and other events.
