However Guadeloupe and Martinique are the greatest frequently known, only for the internationally well-known zouk style and the islands have also produced several renowned artists in different updated styles of the traditional beguine, gwo ka abd chouval bwa.  The world- renowned zouk band known as Kassav remains easily the greatest popular performers from the island. Chouval bwa has expanded into pop genres like zouk chouv which include the electric instrumentation which has also be fame by Claude Germany, Tumpak, Pakatak and saint-Pix. Germany are the most traditional-styled of the renowned zouk chouv performers and while Marce Pago of Tumpak is particularly powerful and it is also known for the origination of the word zouk in 1987.
