During the late 1950s, the Mexican rock artists such as Enrique Guzman
and Cesar Costa became very famous in Colombia, soon, a native rock groups like
Los Speaker and the flippers gained a wide following. It beginning in 1967,
native bands like Genesis (which is unrelated to the famous group genesis of a
similar name) and it are fused with a native musical form (like cumbia) with
rock. Marco, the voice of the Rock and Roll, was known and the promoter of the

significant Colombia rock groups.
The music activity of the rock al parquet celebrated yearly in Bogota, is
the largest free rock festival in Latin America, around 100 bands that play
their music along 3 days and 400,00 tribes in attendance. The recent Doctor Krapula
a rock group with the strong ska influences that is known for making the covers
of the traditional Latin American songs; enjoy the great fame. The most famous
Colombian rock band outside the country is the Monas, winners of a billboard award and Mick Jagger’s

Other famous and interesting groups are Ekhymosis, a group that is led
by Juanes, who started making music in the year 1988 and are known for doing the
rock with a Colombian power, the hall effect who makes English pop/rock joined
with Britpop powers, proper strangers antae-garde rock. The two way analog an
eclectic group who influence are road movies and the soundtracks, La Pestilencia post-hard core, Bajo Tierra,
Palenke Soultribe (a traditional Colombin that rooted its music with the fused

musical groups in the death metal genre are the world well-known internal

metal band Inquisition, which is now based in Seattle, Washington. Miguel
