marked the beginning of Croatian rap music, the ugly leaders released the first
ever Croatian hip hop album and gained a strong ground and around Rijeka. In
1991, the Croatian Liberation Front also released two widely famous protest
singles. The first rap group to gain ground and widespread was the Beat Fleet
(TBF) from Split, whose members took motivation from the harsh economic and
social conditions of the war torn dalmatia that is not different from the
American inner cities.

Croatian rap gained much from Edo Maajka, a Bosnian rapper who signed on to a
label in Zagreb, the recent rapper like Shorty gained a lot of fame by having
songs with the strong regional flavour of his native Vinkovci, the Zagreb
rappers Bolsena Braca that is also known as Sick Rhyme Sayazz~ and Tram became
more popular and to an extent and also duo Nered and Stoka.
