The roneatthung is a low pitched xylophone that is used in the Khmer classical music of Cambodia. This instrument is built in the shape of a curved, rectangular ship or boat. The roneatthung play a crucial role in the pinpeat ensemble. The musical instrument is placed on the left side of the roneatek which is a higher pitched-xylophone. The roneatthung is similar to the ronatthum which is found in Thailand.
