The saya migrates in the Bolivian Yugas region among the country small Afrobolivian community. The major instruments used are the drum and the flute. The men song coplas (a 4-verse poem) and the women repeat after them, while all dancing is very sensuously. It mixes the ancient rhythms which was brought by the former slaves from the African homeland with the traditional Andean flutes and dance patterns. The music is known as the saya but the dance is known as Negritos. The saya is the music pattern plagiarized by the Brazilian singer Kaoma who renamed it and made it known all over the world in the year 1980’s as the well-known lamabada.
