Semba is the ancestor to a variety of music style coining in Africa. The two
most famous sambas, which were created by Angolan slave, are the Kizomba and
Kuduro. The main origin of Semba music is often a cautionary tale or story
regarding as a day-to-day life and the social events and activities that is
usually sung in amusing rhetoric. Throughout the history of Semba music, the
artists were able to pass a broad spectrum of emotions through the music. This
characteristic has made the Semba the best style of music for a wide diversity
of Angolan social gathering. It wideness shows the evident in the unavoidable presence

Semba
music is very much alive and most popular in Angola today as it was before
their independent from the Portuguese colonial system on November 11, 1975.
Different new Semba artists arise each year in Angola as they give homage to
the veteran Semba masters, many of them are still performing. Other music related
to samba is the Rebita, which is stirred by European line dances, as well as
Kazukuta and Kabetula which are mainly Carnival music.
