CHUK: Korean musical instrument

The chuk is a traditional musical instrument that is from Korea. The musical instrument is used in the Confucian and Royal Ancestral Shrine ceremonies to hint that starting of a ritual music performance. 
The musical instrument is made up of a wooden box, performed by striking the bottom of the instrument with a mallet to mark the section or the beats. The musical instrument is derived from the Chinese ‘zhu’ and was trade in to the Korean from the Chinese world during the Goryeo dynasty.
