Jalloul "Chico" Bouchikhi was born in the year 1954 in Arles. He is a musician and one of the founders of the Gipsy Kings. He is from Algeria. He left the Gipsy Kings and latyer found his own Chico & the Gypsies.

Chico was born in the Arles to the Morrocan father and the mother was from Algeria. He is married to the daughter of Jose Reyes, his brother called Ahmed Bouchiki was killed by the agents of Mossad in the Norwegian town of Lillehammer in July of the year 1973 in the Lillehammer affair.
Chico is a special envoy for peace for UNESCO and he has handled a major concert in Israel with his band group. He has as well played before Shimon Peres and Yasser Arafat at the time of the Oslo Accords peace talks.
