Cheb Aziz born as Bechiri Boudjema was born in the 1968; he died on the 20th
September 1996. He was a musician and a performer from Algeria. Aziz was a very
popular musician and performer in the northern part of the continent. He was
known with the playing of Algerian musical genres like the Stafi and the
Chaoui.

Personal Life
Aziz was married to Selma, who was also a musician in the country. Aziz
died on the 9th September 1996. He was killed by the Islamist
integrists militants. He was the 4th musician to be found killed, as
music was declared blasphemous and was banned in the regions of the country
that were dominated by the Islamic fundamentalists. The islamist militants had
seen the music genre of Rai to have subjects that are related to Sex and
Drinking.
