Vera Isaku was born in March 1955. She is a journalist, a writer and a
director of institutions from Albania. She finished from the University of
Tirana in the year 1979, from the faculty of Albanian Linguistics and Albanian
Literature and is one of the first female journalists of the Newspaper Rilindja
Demokratike and a writer of many articles in the daily press in the country and
outside the country. Vera was the Vice Director of the Albanian Radio and
Television and she has held some other positions as a director of the
International Center of Culture at the Pyramid of Tirana. Mrs. Isaku is the
wife of a popular writer Agim Isaku, who is also an ambassador of the Republic
of Albania in Bratislava, Slovakia.
