playwright from Albania. His most popular work is known as ‘Waves of the
Sea’. It was the longest printed book of
its time in the country, Albania.

Life
Dine was born in the
1846 in Virthkuq, in the province of Korce, southeastern part of the country,
Albania. In the year 1866, he relocated to Egypt at the colony of Albania, and
it was there that he met Thimi Mitko, a folklorist from Korce, Albania, and he
helped him to finish his work called "The Albanian Bee".
The work, ‘Waves of
the Sea’, is a collection of the history of the country and literature, which
was published in the Albanian language by Sofia. He is also a writer of poem
and satires. He was a member of the Society for the Publication of the Albanian
Writings, and he was responsible for the establishment of the Egyptian branch
in the Shibin Al Kawm in the year 1881.
