The indigenous genre titled novokomponovana (newly composed) is a result of the urbanization of
traditional music. During in the early period, it had a professional pattern
for performance whereby using accordion and clarinet and usually include love
songs or other simple words (however there had been royalist and anti-Communist
lyrical themes continuing underground). Many of the genres are well-known
performed with artists like Toma
Zdravkovic, Saban Saulic and Silvana Armenulic. At later on, the
renowned artists such as Lepa Brena, Vesna Zmijanac and Dragana Mirkovic use their influence
from pop music, oriental music and other genres music, which dominated to the
appearance of the turbo traditional.
