The internet has inspired many young youth to the current patterns of music. Many songs have political and social themes, notifying the population and checking politicians. The film of the independent known as Sweet Salone shows many of these musicians, supporters and their music.

Mwana Musa is a talented composer who worked with artists like David Toop, , Mongoley (Lipua Lipua) Safroman (GO Malebo)Len Jones one of Sierra Leones finest guitarists, Lindel Lewis, Steve Beresford, Ray Carless, Ugo Delmirani, Robin Jones, Ayo-Roy MAcauley leading guitarist from Sierra Leone, Kevin Robinson, Paapa Jay-Mensah etc. African Connexion was contracted to Charlie Gillet's Oval Records and produced C'est La Danse, Moziki, "City Limits, Midnight Pressure, usual Sierra Leone dance music. One of the latest superstars to appear out of Sierra Leone is current urban musician iGniTer or Lj.
