In the beginning of the 1970s, rumba which is a Congolese music, funk and soul mixed to form a renowned type of Afropop, the major ensembles of this period include Orchestra Muvei, Afro-National, Sabannoh 75 and Super Combo. Sierra Leoneans oversea have formed their own pattern like Ansoumana Bangura, Seydu, Bosca Banks, and Abdul Tee-Jay, Mwana Musa’s African Connexion, Daddy Rahmanu, Sidike Diabate and Particia Bakarr.
