This groups usually include two singers (mor Iam, which refers to as the genre of music); it consists of one male and one female, a khene player (mor khaen) and the other instruments include bells, flutes and fiddles. Music changes extensively throughout Loas, with the Iam saravane pattern being the most renowned, while the city of Luang Prabang is known for a slow type known as khaplam wai. A very renowned type developed in Thailand which is known as mor Iam sing and it is faster and electrified.
