underground music scene has now became lively in Lebanon after the civil war in
1990, which spearheaded by singer/songwriter like Tina Saleh and the rock-pop

Rtrash, Rayess Bek and ASHEKMAN became growing in popularity. Other rock and
alternative rock bands include the Virtuals, the Kordz, Meen, Blend, Olden,
Scrambled Eggs, Mashrou Leila and Jay Wud is also getting famous

Lebanon rock is very renowned. Throughout the Lebanese civil war, rock and hard
rock and heavy metal were very popular. Bands like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin,
Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, Scorpions and Iron Maiden were very famous. In
the year 1978, Rolling Stones booked a show in Lebanon which sold for 5 hours.
The show was cancelled, and caused many Lebanese rock supporters to burn tyres
on roads, blocking it of anger. Glam rock was also very renowned in Lebanon and
he is still popular. Bands such as Guns N’ Roses, Bon Jovi and Europe sold over
3 million albums each.
