The music of Balochistan region is extremely rich and full of collections due to numerous different forms of languages which are spoken in the region which include Brahui, Saraiki, Balochi, Brachui Persian and Pashto. Balochi music stems essentially from Persian music due to the closeness of Iran. Though Balochi singers have not made any impact on the Pakistani music scene, there are several Balochi singers and they includes Faiz Mohammad Faizok, the baloch winner of the world singing contest and who was a great Balochi traditional singer,  Aref Baloch, Ali Reza Askani and Asim Baloch.
