the related cord instruments. This became increasingly famous in the 1800s and
the small groups that started to form, paralleling the similar establishment in
Russiam Italy and the Ukarine.

The
main songs of tamburica are common themes of love and have happy village life;
the tamburica music is mainly associated with the northern, Pannonian part of
the country. This is sometimes said to be the first sexest of tambura players
was initiated by Pajo Kolaric of Osijek in the year 1847. The traditional tamburica
groups are a still commonplace, but more professional group was formed in the
last few eras, these include the Zlatni dukati and Ex Panonia, and the first
group like Zdenac, Slavonske Lole, Berde Band and the recent rock and roll
influenced Gazde.
The
pattern of the tambura music played most often in the United States during the
late half of the 20th century that was not importantly different from
the style played at the turn of the 19th century.
