Australian Territory of Christmas Island is a small territory of the Australia
which is located in the India Ocean, it has 2600 kilometres (1600 mi) northwest
of Perth in the western Indonesia, and 975km ENE of the Cocos (keeling)
islands.

The
Christmas Island is supported by about 1600 residents that stay there with a
number of migrants area on the northern tip of the island; the flying fish cove
(which is also known as Kampong), silver city, Poon Saan and Drumsite, it has a
special natural topography and is of immense interest to scientists and the
naturalists due the number of species of endemic flora and funa which have
change in separation and the undisturbed by human population.
There
are has been a mining activity on the island for several years, and about 65%
of its 135 square kilometres (52sq mi) are now the national Park and there are large
places of pristine and ancient rainforest.
