The tabla tarang is a melodic percussion musical instrument that is made up of from 10 to 16 tuned dayan drums. In the tabla instrument, the dayan is the treble drum and the bayan is the bass drum. Tarang means waves. By hitting the center of the various dayan drums with the hand. Notes of various pitches are manufactured like a bell ringing. The player of the musical instrument is able to play melodies on the instrument based on the many ragas.
