The music of the Chad is an ethnically different Central Africa country in Africa, each of the regions has its own special varieties of music and dance. The Fulani tribe for instant, use single-reeded flute, while the ancient griot tradition uses the five cord type and different types of horns and the Tibesti region uses lutes and fiddle. The musical groups playing the horns and trumpets like the long riyal trumpets which is known as waza or kakaki are used in coronations and other upper class of ceremonies throughout the Chad and Sudan.

The national anthem of the Chad is La Tchadienne which is written in 1960 by Paul Villard and Louis Gidrol with the help from Gidrol’s student orchestra.
