The bobre is a musical bow traditional in Mauritius and Reunion, especially the traditional genres, sega and Maloya.

The musical instrument is a long bow, produced of wood with a vegetable fibre string. The instrument is also made with a calabash that acts as a resonator. The musical instrument is performed by striking the string of the instrument with the use of a stick.
The musical instrument is no longer being used in Mauritian sega, but it is still being used in the Reunion. Also it is used in the Maloya.
