Modern didgeridoo designs: Australian musical instrument

Modern didgeridoo designs are different from the traditional Australian Aboriginal didgeridoo, and are innovation acknowledged by the musicologists. Didgeridoo designs innovation is believed to have started from the 20^th century with the use of non-traditional materials and non-traditional shapes. The design changes are features that are alike to more familiar musical instruments like the trombone and natural horn. The modern and traditional authentic didgeridoos design differs from each other because they are not made by indigenous Australians in a traditional style and does not make use of Eucalyptus branches hallowed by termites. Some didgeridoo design innovations are multi-tonal like the sliding didgeridoos unlike the monotone traditional didgeridoos. Just like the traditional, didgeridoos, the modern design produce a drone sound and can be classified as aerophones.

The sliding didgeridoo was invented by a player called Charlie McMahon. It consists of two plastic tubes inside the other and the design is a cross between didgeridoo and trombone. The travel didgeridoos indicating the compact size originally designed for it to be moved around by folding the length of the didgeridoos. They are produced from wood, plastics or even resin. Didgebox was invented by Marko Johnson in 1995 in which the first production line was released in the year 1999, since then many types of the didgebox has been produced.
