The clapsticks which can as well be referred to as clappers are a kind of drumstick, percussion mallet or claves that serves the purpose of maintaining the rhythm with Aboriginal voice chants. The clapsticks are designed for striking one another unlike the drumsticks which are designed to strike a drum.

In the language of the Yolngu Aborigines of Northern Arnhern Land in Australia, these sticks are called bimli and as an ancestral musical instrument, it may accompany the didgeridoo and sometimes called sticks or just musicstick.
