Yacine Brahimi was born on the 8th February 1990. He is a French born, Algerian football player and he is currently playing for the club Granada Cf and he is a member of the Algerian national team. He plays the role of an attacking midfielder and a winger on the pitch.

Club Career
Brahimi was born in Paris to Algerian parents. He grew up in the eastern suburb of the city in Montreuil in Seine-Saint-Denis. When he was growing up, he was imitating Zinedine Zidane while he was playing in the street with his friends. Brahimi started his football career for the local football club called ASB Montreuil. After spending four years with the club, he joined CO Vincennois. After two years with the club, he was chosen to attend the renowned Clairefontaine academy so as to further his development. In his final year with the academy brahimi spent a year at Camp del Loges, the youth training centre of PSG, he was training with youth international team mate, Mamadou Sakho. Though he was hunted by many European teams, he went on to sign for Rennes. He joined the club and immediately became part of the youth academy of the club. On the 23rd June 2008, he signed his first professional contract with the club to stay with the club until June 2011. He was not given a number on the senior team of the club and so he played on the club's Championnat de France amateur team in the 4th division; he played the total of 22 matches for the club and scored three goals for the club assisting his club to finish 1st among professional clubs in their group, they qualified for competition’s playoffs, which was the level they lost to Lyon in the semifinals.
After playing well in the international season with France, Rennes decided to send the young player on a loan contract to gain much needed playing time. On the 3rd July 2009, the club announced that Brahimi will be joining the Ligue 2 club, Clermont Foot on a loan deal for the entire 2009.10 season. Brahimi arrived at the club after the 2009 UEFA European U-19 Football Championship, together with another player that was new to the club from Juventus, Carlo Vecchione. He was given the number 28 shirt. He played his first professional match for the club on the opening game of the season; he was brought into the game as a sub. He scored his first goal for the club on the 25th September converting a penalty in the match that finished 3-2 against Angers.
After that season with the club, the manager of Rennes Frédéric Antonetti made the confirmation about the return of the player to the team, despite the interest that is being shown on the player by Arsenal, and Real Madrid and that the player will be relied upon by the club for the 2010/11 season. He played his first match for the club, rennes in the opening league match of the club against Lill. He started the match and played for 71 minutes in the match that finished 1-1 draw. The following day, the club announced that Brahimi has extended his contract with the club by four years. On the 14th August 2010, he scored his first goal for the club in a match that was played against Nancy.
International Career
As early as when he was 13 years of age, Brajimi started showing up in the regional youth teams playing for Île-de-France together with future youth international teammates Mamadou Sakho, Tripy Makonda, Maxime Partouche, and Sébastien Corchia.
He played his first match for the U-16 team of France on the 21st March 2006 and he scored a goal in the game as he converted a penalty in the match that was played against Germany. With the Under-17 team, he played his first game for the country in the game that finished 4-2 against Lithuania in the 2007 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship. With the U-19 team of the country, France, he played the total of 19 games and scored the total of 12 goals for the country.
He was eligible to play for the Algeria in the international level. In February 2013, he was announced to have made up his mind to play for Algeria. He played his first game with the Algerian national team in a match that was played against Benin in the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers; the match finished 3-1.
