Mourad Meghni was born on the 16th April 1984. He is an Algerian professional football player. He played the role of an attacking midfielder for the Algerian national team. Currently he is not with any club after playing for Lekhwiya SC last. He can also play the role of a central midfielder. His ability on the game earned him the nickname, Petit Zidane.

Club Career
As a youth footballer, Mourad Meghni made a move to a renowned Clairefontaine academy to Bologna and he played with the club from the year 2000 to the year 2005. He played his first serie A match for the club on the 12th of January 2003 in the match that finished 2-0 in favor of Mila. Mourad Meghni spent the 2005/06 on loan to the French Ligue 1 club, Sochaux before he went back to Bologna.
While he was with the club, he was not consistent on the pitch and his talent was never turned to success. In the 2007/08 season, Mourad Meghni made a move to Lazio an on a co-ownership contract for €5.75million. his early performance with the club was not good enough as he just started 7 games for the club in that season. He played his first champiosn league match for the club and he was the man that set up the goal for Tommaso Rocchi and that gave the club their only win in the tournament at home to Werder Bremen. After that season, Mourad Meghni was fully purchased by the club for another €1.92M. After the Matuzalem has arrived at the club, and because of several injuries, Mourad Meghni was made a backup player. His contract with the club was mutually terminated on the 10th June 2011.
He signed for Umm-Salal of Qatar Stars League in the following day, 11th June 2011.
On the 29th March 2012, he was announced to have joined Al Khor on a temporary loan.
On the 6th July 2012, he made a move to Lekhwiya SC on a free transfer from Umm Salal.
International Career
Mourad Meghni was selected on the 12th August 2009 for the first time to be among the ranks of the Algerian national football team in the game that was played against Uruguay and Algeria won the match 1-0. He has played the total of 9 matches for the Algerian national team.
He was with the U-17, U-19 and U-21 French National football team before he switched his football services to his country of origin, Algeria.
