Ilir Bozhiqi was born on the 22nd May 1965. He is a retired footballer from Albania. He played the role of a goalkeeper for his club, Dinamo Tirana and his country as well.

He was the first foreign goalkeeper to play in in the Romanian football league. He made a move from Dinamo Tirana to FC Brasov in the year 1991, and he remained there for about 4 seasons before he moved to a team in is country, Tractorul Braşov in the year 1995. While he was in Brasov, he played 57 games for them in the first division, even though the he had strong competition from the teammates like Şanta, Todericiu and Adrian Ene.
Currently he is coaching the goalkeepers in the national team of his country and also in Dinamo Tirana. He is of the montenegrin minority in Albania and his real name is Slobodan Božić.
