TThe tango has been known by the UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The current ground of the tango music and dance emerged from Buenos Aires, Argentina as well as in the Montevideo, Uruguay. Carlos Gardel, who is a great singer, born in France and raised in Buenos Aires, but in the year 1920 after he became popular he registered his birthplace as being in Tacuarembo, Uruguay, possibly to avoid the problems with the French powers during the new group of France. Other Uruguayan tango artists, among of the popular names, were director Francisco Canaro and his violinist Modesto Ocampo. Also singer like Julio Sosa, one of the best recognized tangos in the world is known as the La Cumparsita, which was written by Uruguayan composer known as Gerardo Matos Rodriguez.
