Orges Shehi

Orges Shehi was born on the 20th September 1977 in Durres. He is a professional footballer from Albania. He is currently playing role of a goalkeeper for his club Skenderbeu Korce in the Albanian superliga.

Career

Sheshi began with Teuta Durres and after a good spell in the superliga he also played for the Under-21 national team of the country.

He joined Partizani Tirana in the year 2005 becoming the captain of the team in the year 2008; it was there that he experienced the second spring of his career. 

He left KS Besa Kavaje in the summer of the year 2009. He was said to be one of the best goalkeepers in the superliga of the country.  

In July 2010, he made a move to Skenderbeu Korce, it was there that he won three consecutive league titles 2010/11, 2011/12 & 2012/13. The peak of his career was the presentation of the club in the UEFA Europa League 2013-14 Play-off round, it was then that he played against a team like Chornomorets Odesa. After the game that finished 1-1 in aggregate, his team lost the match 6-7 in penalties, he saved two goals for the club and scored a penalty for the club in the game. 

International Career

He got his first call-up for the national team of the country on the 17th November 2010 by the coach of the national team, Josip Kuze to take part in the friendly match that was played against Macedonia. He was the second goalkeeper in the match and never played a single minute of that game. it was in the friendly match that was played against Georgia on the 29th February 2012, that he played his first game for the national team of his country as he was brought into the match in the 89th minute of the match. He later was made the third goalkeeper on the national team of the country behind Etrit Berisha and Samir Ujkani
