The Togo music has produced a series of internationally recognized renowned entertainers which include Jimi Hope, Mensah and Bella Bellow.

The Togolese national anthem is known as Salut a toi pays de nos aieux (which means as the Land of our forefathers), and it was written by Alex Casimir-Dosseh. During in the year 1979 to 1992 the national anthem was substituted by anthem composed by party of the Rally of the Togolese People. French is the official and commercial language of the Togolese.
