Medieval Classical Music of France

The history of France music dated back to organum in the 10^th century, accompanied by the Notre Dame School, and organum composition pattern, Trobadour rhythms of chivalry and courtly love were composed in the Occitan dialect between the 10^th and the 13^th centuries, and the Trouvere poet-composers flourished in the Northern France during this era. By the end of the 12^th century, a form of rhythm known as the motet arose, followed by travelling musician called jongleurs, also in the 14^th century, France produced two notable patterns of music that is known as Ars Subtillior and Ars Nova.
