The native of the peoples of the Brazilian rainforest play instruments which include whistles, flutes, horns, drums, and rattles, most of the area’s traditional music imitates the sounds of the Amazon rainforest. When the Portuguese came into Brazil, the first natives they met played a collection of reed flutes and other wind and drum instruments. The Jesuit missionaries brought the songs which used the Tupi language with Christian lyrics, and attempted to convert the people to Christianity and also brought Gregorian song and the flute, bow and the clavichord.
