The Northern Chile was the centre of the culture of the ancient Tahuantinsuyu (Inca Empire) and was afterwards conquered by the Spanish. At the north of the country, the traditional dances are strongly powered by Qiechua and Aymara culture, and covers parts of Peru the Andean region of Bolivian and the Northern Chile. The dances are basic piece of famous piety and in activities jointed to the ancient Incra religion and recently have resemblances of paganism, as in the case of livestock effleurage.
