The Bengali folk became a significant musical influences in the people of Bengals both sides of the (Western Bengal-Bangladesh) border. Among these are Lalon Fokir, Hason Raja, Ramesh Shill and Abbas Uddin. All folk’s songs are important by simple musical structure and words. Before the coming of radio, the entertainment in the rural places depends to a large extent on stage performances by folk singers. After the coming of new communication and digital media, several folk songs were simplified and incorporated into modern music (Adhunik songeet)
