Turbo-traditional (a word that originated by the rock
artists Rambo Amadeus) music appeared during in the Yugoslav wars and the
breakup of Yugoslavian. Turbo-traditional used Serbian traditional music and novokomponovana as the fundamental and
added effects from rock electronic dance and pop. In the 2000s turbo-folk
featured even more pop music rudiments and some of the artists were labeled as
pop-traditional. Some of the well-known turbo-traditional artists comprise Jelena Karleusa, Indira Radic, Seka Aleksic,
Aca Lukas, Lepa Brena and Ceca Raznatovic and among others.
