Nigel Krauth was born on the 8th February 1949; he is an
Australian novelist and academic. He is an Associate Professor at the Griffith
University and he was teaching creative writing. He has published the total of

Nigel Krauth was born in the city of Cremorne, New South Wales and he
studied at the University of Newcastle, NSW. He did his research master’s at
the Australian National University in the year 1972 and got his Ph.D from the
University of Queensland in the year 1983. He was a teacher at the University
of Papua New Guinea, Mitchell CAE and at the Southern Cross University before
he got his appointment at the Gold Coast CAE.
Nigel Krauth has won many awards including the Vogel
Award in the year 1982 for Matilda My
Darling and the Christina Stead Award of the year 1991 for his work
called JF Was Her.
He has edited many books and edits a scholarly journal TEXT: Journal of Writing and Writing Courses that
he founded together with Tess Brandy.
