on the 1st February 2014. He was an Austrian and Swiss movie actor.
He was also a writer and a producer of movies.

He was the winner of the Academy Award for Best Actor for the
1961 American film Judgment at
Nuremberg, which was the second role he took in
the Hollywood. His parents were involved very much in art and he grew up in the
midst of acting and literature. His family was forced to leave the city of
Vienna in the year 1938 when Austria was annexed by Nazi Germany and
they moved to the city of Zurich.
Maximilian Schell was a good player of the musical instrument, piano and
a conductor. He performed with the likes of Claudio Abbado
and Leonard Bernstein and with many orchestras in the city of Vienna and
Berlin. His elder sister called Maria Schell was also an actress of the country
and was also a noted actress in the Hollywood.
