Osvaldo Soriano was born in Mar del Plata, Argentina. From the start of
La Opinion in the year 1971 by the editor JacoboTimerman,
Osvaldo Soriano became a staff writer
with the magazine. His first novel is called Triste, solitario y final, which he started six month after the not
having any article published. In the story, a character with the name Osvaldo Soriano reconstructs the life of an
English actor with the name Stan Laurel.
Sometimes after the Proceso

in the country in the year 1976, Osvaldo Soriano moved to Brussels and then he moved to Paris and he was
in Paris until the year 1984. After the fall of the military regime in the
country, he went back to the country, Buenos Aires and his publication of books
became a success.
In his books, Osvaldo Soriano mixed his experience as a democratic
activist and as a great critic of the violence brandished by the conservative
governments with more humour.
After his death in Buenos Aires in the year 1997, Osvaldo Soriano was
buried in the La ChacaritaCemetarfy in Buenos Aires. His works has been
translated to the at least 15 various languages and he has with his book
influenced many film directors and film producers in the country and beyond.
