Orlando Barone

Orlando Barone was born on the 5^th October 1941 in Buenos Aires. He is an argentine journalist, writer and a university lecturer. As a journalist he is working for the newspaper in the country called Debate and as a columnist in the TV program called 6,7, 8, which reflects in the critic pattern the treatment of the information by the media of the country and the efforts of different political sectors in the nation.

Biography

Orlando Barone began as an editor of the magazine called Mercado in the year 1969. He was with the magazine until the year 1972. In the year 1972, he dropped the book called Stories Below the Navel.

In the year 1974, Orlando Barone arranged different meetings between Jorge Luis Borges and Ernesto Sabato, where the writers shared their various perspective on different issues. The conversations they had were published in the year 1977, in the book called Dialogue Borges-Sabato. The first edition of the book sold quickly as did the next two editions of the book. In the year 2007, the books were re-edited. In the year 1976, Orlando Barone wrote another book called Secret Places.

From the year 1976 to the year 1981, Orlando Barone worked with the newspaper called Clarin.

Between the year 1982 and the year 1984, Orlando Barone wrote for the magazine called Seven Days and also for the agency called DYN. In that period, he was also a columnist of the newspaper called La Razon, which was led by a JacoboTimerman. In the year 1987, Orlando Barone was selected to be the editor secretary of the magazine called Expreso. Three years after that, he took up the post of the director of the newspaper called Extra. In the year 1991, Orlando Barone published his debut novel, which he called, The Fire Locomotive.

In the 1990s, Orlando Barone worked for the newspaper called AmbitoFinanciero. He also worked for the Telam Agency and the Journal RevistaNoticais. In the year 1999, Orlando Barone published a poem book known as The Mouth of the Riachuelo.

Currently, Orlando Barone is teaching in the University of Belgrano in the country. He was in the Catholic University of Argentina and in the Graduate School of Journalism of La Plata. He was also the director of the High Institute of Radiophonic Education in the country.
