OBOKANO: Kenyan musical instrument

The obokano is a large bowl musical instrument that is found in Kenya. The musical instrument belongs to the family of lyre musical instruments. The musical instrument is used by the Gusii ethnic group of the country. The obokano is manufactured from a skin of a goat or a cow and a bowl like structure that is curved out of a wood stump. The musical instrument is made up of eight strings that are adjusted distinctively to manufacture different tones.
