Ana María Shua was born on the 22nd April 1951 in Buenos Aires. She is an argentine writer. She has published 80 books many genres including novels, short stories, micro fiction, poem, drama and children literature, as well as humor and Jewish folklore anthologies and film scripts. She has also written journalistic articles and essays. Her works has been translated into several languages including the English language, French, German Italian, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese, Bulgarian and Serbian languages.

Biography
Ana María Shua published her debut poetry called El sol y yo at the age of 15 in the year 1967 and for the work, she got the Honor Strip from the Society of Writers of the country. Ana María Shua studied at the University of Buenos Aires and she got her Master’s degree in Arts and Literature. At the last days of the military regime in  the country, she was exiled to France and it was there that she worked for the Spanish Magazine called Cambio 16. When she got back to the country, she published her first novel called Soy paciente in the year 1980 and she got an award by the Losada publishing house for the novel. In the year 1984, Ana María Shua published a collection of micro fictions called La sueñera.
Ana María Shua has also worked as a journalist, a publicist and a screen writer and she has authored books for children and received many international awards.
