Alfredo Parga was born on the 11th December 1924 in Buenos Aires; he died on the 2nd June 2004. He was an argentine writer and a journalist who was linked to motor racing sports. He published articles on the Civil War of Spain and biographical books on Juan Manuel Fangio as well as Carlos Alberto Reutemann.

He was also a columnist of sports magazines in the country and the magazine of Buenos Aires called Diario La Nación. As a journalist of the radio, Alfredo Parga took part of Sport 80’ programme and he also worked as a host of 'Otroautomovilismo broadcast of the Radio Belgrano. He was given the award of the 'Lobo de mar in the year 1996 and he was also the receiver of the Konex Foundation diploma in the year 1997.
