Mohamed "Ben" Salem was born on the 24th May 1940 in
Oran; he died on the 4th May 2008 in Belfort, France. He was an
Algerian association football player of Malian origin who spent most of his
career with the club CS Sedan. He started his football career as a striker
before he finished his career as a defender. He is the second all-time top
scorer with the total of 107 goals for CS Sedan including the 81 goals in the
French top flight.
