Etrit Berisha

Etrit Berisha was born on the 10th March 1989. He is a footballer from Albania and is playing the role of a goalkeeper for his club, S.S Lazio in the Italian Serie A. he is also a member of the Albanian national team. He is known for his athleticism and his ability to stop penalty kicks.

Early Club Career

Berisha started his football career as a kid at local club side called KF 2 Korriku, and it was there that he played football as a youth. He left KF 2 Korriku in January 2008 to play for Swedish  club side Kalmar FF. on getting to Sweden he was engaged into the Kalmar Under-19 team of the club because he was too young and has less experience to be in the first team football.

Career in Kalmar

Berisha played his first game for the club, Kalmar on 28th April 2010 in a match that was played against Örebro SK and his team won 4:1. After 14 appearances for the club in his debuting season, he became the starting goalkeeper for Kalmar. Berisha got his first goal for Kalmar in a game that was played against Cliftonville F.C. in the Europa League qualification rounds and got his first goal in the Allsvenskan against the champions Helsingborgs IF, from the penalty spot in the 38th minute of the game in the year 2012. But the game stemmed to be Berisha's worst ever match result, with the final score of the game being 7–2. Berisha became a penalty kicker of his club, Kalmar and finished all his kicks from the penalty spot. He played his last game for the club in a game that was played against Halmstad BK and he scored a goal in the match from the penalty spot. 

Career in Lazio

On the 2nd September 2013, Berisha signed a contract with Lazio in the summer transfer window. He played his first game for the new club on the 7th November 2013 in the 2013/14 UEFA Europa League group stage game that was played against Apollon Limassol. Three weeks later in the next Europa League match, he started the game also. The match led to 2-0 win for Lazio. On the 12th December 2013, he made his third appearance for his club on the Europa League game against Trabzonspor and never conceded a goal. After that first choice goalkeeper of the club, Federico Marchetti has been injured, on 6th January 2014, Berisha made his first appearance in the League game that was played against Inter Milan, the match ended 1-0 in favor of Lazio.

International Career

Berisha got his first senior team international call up from the coach of the national team,  Gianni De Biasi for friendly match against Qatar and Iran in May 2012. He was an idle substitute in Albania's 2–1 win against Qatar on the 22nd May. He played his first game for his country 5 days later against Iran at the İnönü Stadium, Istanbul, Turkey, playing full time and keeping a clean sheet in the 1–0 win against Iran.

After the match, he became a consistent member of the Albanian national team.
